Industrial X Ray 3D Precision Computed tomography enters a new era with the restarting from the health emergency that has put a strain on all of us. Now more than ever, an innovative and forward-looking spirit is needed to quickly re-emerge from the lock down to which the Covid-19 pandemic forced us.
The restart comes right from technology, and with it from associated services, to give a new boost to the development of industrial processes. With this approach, the AgioMetrix group is pleased to announce the full functionality of its new micro-focus precision tomography system GOM CT 225 kV.
System Features
Designed for non-destructive 3D analysis of components with complex internal structures, the GOM CT system is able to digitise all geometries with the highest level of detail.
3D images generated by the scanning process are perfect for precision metrology allowing not only the “traditional” nominal/actual comparison, but also a complete GD&T analysis. All this can be applied to external, internal and assembled multi-component geometries.
The most suitable applications are related to plastic and light metal alloy components.

High accuracy granted
Thanks to a unique mathematical modelling of the measuring cell, high accuracy is guaranteed with the GOM CT system.
To produce highly accurate 3D measurement data, GOM CT applies mathematical intelligence: it is a sort of perfect combination of the algorithms interconnected in the sequence with the digital models created in the measurement room. The system also offers increased mechanical stability of all components relevant for the analysis. In other words, based on the result, it is possible to evaluate the quality of the component in a such reliable and precise way to be able to carry out further detailed checks.
Thanks to the 5-axis kinematics and real-time view within the software, it is possible to automatically position the objects.
Practically, the 5-axis kinematics with integrated centering table allows the perfect positioning of the component within the measurement volume by simply introducing it in the measurement area and then the software does the rest.
The management of the tomography system and the whole metrological analysis of data are combined in a single software package, without the need for additional programs or intermediate operations. The process chain, from recording of raw data to analysis, up to the creation of a measurement report, is thus greatly simplified for a continuous and rapid workflow.
The engineering concept of GOM CT is strongly based on precision metrology. The internal temperature control system make the measurement environment highly stable, letting GOM CT be a measurement device that can be approved under DIN EN ISO 17025: 2018 accreditation.
